How to fuck up a monitor

… it was a beautiful, shiny CRT monitor – NEC to be precise. This monitor has served great for many years.
And several days ago, his Master (me 
) decided to clean it. Nothing special.
But Master didn’t choose the right way. He took “Special German Cleaner”… for glasses
Then Master started cleaning process. Everything looked fine but suddenly
Oh fuck! Monitor looked like somebody skated on it 
So, shit happens thought Master. It turned out that antireflection layer on the surface disappeared – “Special German Cleaner” did that After short reviewing of google groups Master decided to grate rest of the layer. 3 hours later:
the monitor is almost clean but it reflects so much now
The conclusion is simple – don’t do that.
I’ve got solution: you can sell that “Special German Cleaner” as a chemical that perfectly removes rust from old cars and buy new monitor for the money you earn
The worst thing is that I won’t be able to buy as good monitor as this one
Only shitty LCD’s are available now.
